Ricky Coussins
Ricky Coussins' career in marketing began in 1972 when he worked for a division of the multinational conglomerate Litton Industries. In the late 70s he joined Rank Xerox where he worked first in sales rising to regional management and then returned to marketing was responsible for exploring the potential of new products. He left Xerox in 1981 to work for a European based translation company as Sales and Marketing Director. In the mid 1980s he was recruited to British Telecom working first with BT's system house, NDPS, as Packaged Products Marketing Manager and then in Mobile Communications as Network Marketing Manager. He started his marketing integration consultancy, Coussins Associates, in 1989.
It supplies a range of marketing consultancy services across the whole spectrum of the marketing mix, including analysing opportunities in new markets and reviewing market entry options for new products, field research and desk analysis, marketing workshops to produce marketing strategies and plans, assisting with implementation of those plans and marketing communications planning and management.
He also provides marketing mentoring support, marketing problem diagnosis (through his own Marketing Multipoint Analysis Process or MMAP) and internal brand alignment. The whole approach of the consultancy is practically focused in order to help clients integrate their marketing messages to provide maximum return on the marketing investment and help those organisations sell more.
Ricky speaks regularly on a variety of conference platforms including the Institute of Directors and the CBI and spends about 40% of his time in providing a wide variety of training workshops in a comprehensive range of marketing skills. His areas of expertise include:
Louise Ivey
Louise graduated from Girton College, Cambridge with a degree in Linguistics. Prior to her current position, she has worked in sponsorship, branding and event management in the sporting arena, developing strong organisational, communication and IT skills which she now employs across a range of sectors at Coussins Associates.
Working with clients such as Brammer, Cinven, Social Software and Trimedia, Louise is involved in projects across the marketing mix; from research and copywriting to directing creative and print processes, film production and event management.
Angela Lewis

Angela has over 20 years experience in the leisure industry, encompassing both public and private sector. She has worked at local, regional and national level in sports development, facility development and management, marketing, event management, communications, relationship management, sponsorship, training and partnership development.
At Coussins Associates Angela primarily works on runningsports – a portfolio of resources and support for sports volunteers – for Sport England as well as other community sports clients such as Bromley Mytime, and various County Sports Partnerships. Her voluntary commitments include the role of Chair of the Sutton Community Sports Network and member of the Sutton Olympic Forum.
Rachel Nicholson

Rachel graduated with a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the University of Bedfordshire. She joined Coussins Associates from a marketing and graphic design company where she worked on branding, copywriting, direct mail and design for a range of clients.
At Coussins, Rachel works with a range of clients including Social Software and Brammer. Her client work includes developing and implementing marketing strategy, copy writing, research and design direction.
Rachel Clancy-Shelton

Rachel graduated from St Mary’s University College with a degree in Management Studies with Media Arts. It was during her studies that she became interested in Marketing and developed her skills in the areas of design and video production.
Exploiting her particular strengths, Rachel works with clients such as Brammer and Cinven on creative design, video editing, photography and event management projects.
Sharon Miller
Sharon studied Economics at the London School of Economics and gained a PGCE at the Institute of Education. She was a vice-president at Lehman Brothers from 1985 to 1996, where her main role was in Eurobond sales to high net-worth individuals, amongst other responsibilities. After a short career break to have children, Sharon joined Coussins Associates in 1999, where she is office manager.
