Houghton are global leaders in providing metal working fluids and services so that manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace, metals, mining, machinery, offshore and beverage industries (phew!) can actually produce their products whilst increasing profitability, improving product quality and minimising risks.

Houghton wanted to move from product led to market focused so they needed to ensure their product and segment management were fully skilled and confident with apply the latest and best in marketing tools processes and techniques.   They also wanted to implement a more collaborative approach between the marketing, sales and research and development teams.


Our first assignment was to develop a series of workshops to bring their European product and segment marketing managers to the same skills level, and help ensure they were marketing to the top of their game.


We then took a similar programme to their US business where we also provided a sales, marketing and research and development collaboration workshop to facilitate even greater understanding between the teams.

We also facilitated two 3-day European strategy implementation workshops in 2016 and 2017.
